Module 5 – Queer-iosity

What this course is about:

This singular module is part of a collection of learning modules Working It Out. A 6-part learning module set, developed by our partner NGO It Gets Better.

If you want to become Safe Space Certified, please enroll in the full Working It Out course so that each completed module is tracked towards your certification.

This course will help you better understand the LGBTQ+ community and how be better allies.

You will learn:

• Staying Curios keeps us open minded to learning and change. Through your curiosity, you’ll need to know who you should ask your questions to, what kind of questions are ok to ask, when is it ok to ask them, as well as why you’re asking the questions.

 

Course Length: approximately 1 hour 

Work through the module page by page reading the text, watching the videos, and reflecting on the questions at your own pace, though we offer some estimated durations below for how long it might take you to complete the entire course.

 

 Level: All levels (salon owners and administrators are also highly encouraged to complete these modules)
