What this course is about:

This singular module is part of a collection of learning modules Working It Out. A 6-part learning module set, developed by our partner NGO It Gets Better

If you want to become LGBTQ+ Safe Space Certified, please enroll in the Working It Out course so that each completed module is tracked towards your certification.

This course will help you better understand the LGBTQ+ community and how be better allies.

You will learn:

• The Differences and intersections of sex assigned at birth, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation – concepts vital to the LGBTQ+ experience.
• The importance of intersectionality and making your salon space inclusive and accessible across all intersections.

Course Length: approximately 2 hours 

Work through the modules page by page reading the text, watching the videos, and reflecting on the questions at your own pace, though we offer some estimated durations below for how long it might take you to complete the entire course.

Level: all levels (salon owners and administrators are also highly encouraged to complete these modules)
